Our lives are busy. Any design project with an already full schedule is a big deal. We get it.
That is why our experts are your design partner and as your partner we don't make assumptions about your project or your time. From the start we work along side you to craft a solution that works with your time frame and budget. We will help even if you have a project already started and are stuck.
We do this by being transparent about what services we offer, how much they cost and what you get at each step. We have broken apart the complex design process into Design Blocks. Each are clearly defined so you only buy what design & planning items you need to bring you ideas to life!
Assessment
30-50 min. | Free
Whatever your design needs, the first step is to get to know each other and plan what is the best course of action to move forward. This phase also includes a site visit if needed.
Time: 30-50 min.

Styling & Decor
1hr | $100
Sometimes it's not you... its just the room. And all you need is a little finesse. That might mean re-configuring a space to be more functional, selecting paint colors, or finding those pops of details that bring a room together and make it truly yours.
Time: 1hr (5hr block $425)

Sketch Session
1hr | $80
Sketch Sessions are the gateway to the design solution. We roll up our sleeves and start finding inspiration, identifying passions, sketching ideas, and creating mood boards.
Time: 1 hr (5 hr block $375)

- Concept/ Idea Sketches
- 2-3 Options Outlined ($, $$, $$$)

Design Session
1hr | $130
Time to solve that design problem. Our intent is to refine the ideas, inspirations, and sketches emerging with one solid solution in the end that fits your timeline & budget.
Time: 1hr (5hr block $575)

- Schematic Design Drawings (as needed)
- Final Material Pallet (as mood board/ sample board)

Visualization
1hr | $100
But how does your space look? We can help.
Once the design solution is solidified and materials are selected, it's time to create 3D models for rendering.
Time: min. 4 hr (purchased in 4 hr increments. 16 hr block $1100)

Technical Drawings
1hr | $180
Time to build.
The final step (should you need it) is to produce design drawings with enough detail to receive a permit or get approval from community review boards. Now it's your turn. From here you should have enough info to continue through construction.
Time: min. 2hr (purchased in 2hr increments.

Ready to design?
Remember, you are a partner in this and you decide how far you want to take the process. Our when in your process you need our help. Our Pay-as-you-go model allows flexibility and transparency designed to make the renovation process easier.
You may want all the design services in order as quick as possible or just a couple spread out over the course of a year. After the initial assessment your expert will work out what blocks you need and how many or few that will get the job done.
About Co
Why did I start Co?
I started Co for the client that falls through the cracks of the design world - sometimes a project is small, or that small project evolves into something bigger as it's happening. In either case variables change, life happens. You might not need an architecture firm or interior designer on commission. You just need a helper, a guide and a few select design tools and drawings - available when you need them.
I noticed as I worked in various design firms, with varied types of design processes and through numerous colleagues' experiences that the design process is for the designer... not the client. From the perspective of the client, the process is murky and varies widely - it is not conducive to flexibility. This leaves the client feeling overwhelmed and out of control, unable to see how a design project can fit into their busy schedule and budget.
The Solution
My solution was to end the complex, murky, designer-based process and replace it with "open source" design tools for the client. A clear and simple route to solve design problems. These "open-source" tools are what I call Design Blocks. A pay-as-you-go model that breaks apart the design process.
How they work: First, they break-down the process into bite-sized "products/tools" that the client can purchase separately or together. Second, they list the exact deliverables that the client will get in each Block. You know what you are paying for.
This method of breaking down a large service or process is not new. Co's Design Blocks work just like other "services-as-products" businesses such as; hair salons, spas or health clubs. They break apart their services into tangible, unique products - such as: a haircut, curl & color, blow out or deep tissue massage, facial and hot stone therapy.
This approach, when used with design, requires a strong partnership with the client. Therefore, we embrace and rely on the new DIY spirit. People want to be a part of creating their own designs. With this in mind, my expertise is thought of as a partnership with your DIY passion.
